Educating, Empowerment, Entertainment. Juneteenth celebrations have included ceremonies, rodeos, fishing, readings of the Emancipation Proclamation, concerts, picnics/BBQs, and family gatherings. It is a time for reflection, rejoicing, self-improvement, and planning for the future. Event is celebrated by general public not limited to African Americans.
