Gazania rigens 'Sun Gold'
This is a trailing form of Gazania with gray, fuzzy leaves and bright yellow daisy-like flowers held above the foliage. A moderately fast growing, mat-like ground-cover, it prefers light soil and good drainage in full sun to light shade. It should be irrigated in mornings so that foliage is dry at dusk. This superior form is quite tough, but some additional irrigation during the hottest portion of the summer will improve the appearance. Clumps usually are 8 to 10 inches tall by 2 feet or more across.
