From the time you were a kid, I'm sure one of your FAVORITE desserts was Strawberry Shortcake! Well it's strawberry season in Southern California now.
This week on In the Garden with UC Master Gardeners, KUCI Staff member and Master Gardener Sally Richards will talk with horticulturist Gary Matsuoka about the sweetest of treats, the strawberry.
So easy to grow as an annual or a perennial! Gary and Sally will let you know how to start your strawberry garden in the ground or, best of all, in containers. Containers may be the trick to ward off those nasty slugs that make those holes on the bottom side of that nice, big, beautiful berry you've been waiting to pick! Your mouth will be watering by the end of this show!
