This week on In the Garden with UC Master Gardeners, we replay a show re-aired just two weeks ago on Mosquitoes. New information has come up of interest to the Southern California public.

What some consider a nuisance at picnics or unbearable in places like the South or even Alaska can really be deadly if they carry certain diseases like West Nile, malaria, or dengue. That is why it is extremely important to pay attention to areas around your home that become breeding grounds for the pests.
Prime example are French drains or underground drainage systems where water can pool if the slope is inadequate, or it becomes blocked. Learn about where those places are likely to be and how to protect you, your family, and neighbors from all the different mosquitoes we have here in Orange County.
