Perennial- Jerusalem Sage, Pygmy

Common Name:  Jerusalem Sage (Pgymy)

Botanical Name:  Phlomis lanata

Description:  Evergreen shrub, 1 to 2 feet high, 4 to 6 feet wide.

Sun/ shade:  Full sun

Water:  Low water

Soil: Not particular about soil but needs good drainage

Habit and Form: Woolly, wrinkled leaves are sage green; Mediterranean plant 

Flower type:  Two-lipped yellow flowers

Flowers and bloom season: Whorls of 1 in deep flowers bloom from spring to fall if faded stems are cut out

Pruning time and method:  Prune late winter/early spring before start of annual bloom

Maintenance tips:  Cut back faded stems for continuous bloom spring to fall

Common problems:  No significant problems
