The first Thursday of every month on In the Garden, UC Master Gardeners and KUCI staff host Katrina Kirkeby and Teena Spindler bring you tips and hints about the most important things to consider for the coming month.
The month of August will be one of the warmest months so not much planting to do but your summer veggies are ripening and, of course, pay attention to water needs.
Trim back just about anything when the flowers fade to keep the garden tidy, encourage more flowers, and prevent reseeding. UC Master Gardeners are at the Orange County Fair until the 15th ready to answer your gardening questions.
